We said goodbye to Josh Saturday night. We actually did that twice because his flight got delayed. The second time wasn't nearly as difficult as the first time for me since we'd already said goodbye. He ended up spending the night in Chicago, but made it back to San Diego, where he'll be for a week before heading to South Carolina for a few weeks. We're keeping our fingers crossed that we can see him again on the weekends. Until then though our countdown until we see him again begins.
With the weather being so cold, and us definately not accustomed to it, we've (except for Josh) all been battling coughs, sore throats and fevers all last week. Which made it fun for Josh to be around us all. We seem to be on the mend thankfully. I had to remind myself that yes I really did want to be in Norfolk when the temperature was 29 degrees outside!
The weather has improved, but it will be cold tomorrow and be cold by the end of the week, I just hope for healthy kids for awhile!
So far the kids both like their teachers at their new school Larchmonth Elementary. Jonas has Mrs. Mitchell, and Maddie has Mrs. Kitterman. And they both knew kids in their class already from preschool, which I think is helping with the transition.
I'm still not done unpacking. I have to finish getting the girls stuff hung in their closet, and my stamp room unpacked, and then I can say I'm done!
I took some pictures before I left of Maddie with her class in San Diego. I know she misses them because we called one of her friends last week on the phone. The conversation for 5 minutes went like this...
Maddie: your funny
Friend: no you're funny
Maddie: no you're funny
We're getting back into our groove here and enjoying being back in Norfolk.

well we are glad you are back.
Hope this first week of adjustment goes well for you. Love that picture of Maddie's class. It's obvious she loves her teacher.
Such a cute picture on your front step of Josh and the kids...you have a darling family!
